“My favorite element in this project would have to be the kitchen island, specifically the stain color. It took months and lots of trial and error to get it just right. I’m so happy we waited until we found the perfect mix because it turned out perfect!”

“There used to be two doorways into the kitchen from the entry and living room.  This made for an awkward layout with the kitchen being pushed to one side of the room and the dining room being pushed to the other. By closing one of the doorways, it allowed for a much bigger kitchen with a large range and focal wall of gorgeous cabinetry.”  

“It also made room for a big island and a dining area that made sense for this family of four. Now the kitchen flows seamlessly into their great room with awesome floor to ceiling windows and views. It helps to have gorgeous marble everywhere including the backsplash and I love the tongue and groove vertical treatment behind the floating shelves and the glass uppers.”

“My clients needed a ‘drop zone’ or a small mudroom to hang their backpacks, put away shoes etc. as soon as they came in from the garage. We added a built in and painted it one of my favorite colors, Downpipe by Farrow and Ball. We continued the vertical tongue and groove on the back and added a white oak bench for contrast.”

“I didn’t want to do black or brass hooks and knobs so I searched for something I loved instead. I found these oak hooks and knobs on Etsy which give just the contrast I was looking for against the dark paint color.  It’s a small but perfectly functional area now!”

“I always get so excited to design laundry rooms mostly because I don’t have a pretty one of my own! Lots of counter space, a sink, and storage were must haves in this space. I presented a tuxedo cabinetry look to them with white uppers and dark lowers then brought in more white oak with the floating shelves.”

“We did the Bedrosians Cloe tile in the square on the backsplash and paired it with a matte white hex on the floor. This is definitely a space I wouldn’t mind spending time in…even if it means I have to do the laundry!”

“By taking out a wall which separated the vanity from the shower and toilet area, it opened up the long galley bathroom and made the space so much bigger and brighter.”

We had the countertop material fabricated for the curb and wall in the shower which took some time figuring out but was so worth it. Instead of going with a traditional linen closet the clients opted for a built in niche with floating cabinets that matched the vanity. This added feature is another highlight!”
