“In the kitchen, this space was completely reimagined. We took down the perimeter walls to create an open-concept space between the kitchen and family and dining area, leaving a separation of only an oversized arch to add character and old-world charm.”

“The kitchen finishes were selected to let the stone become the star. The Waterstone brass faucet and Rejuvenation hardware add that classic Parisian note, while the DWR barstools keep the space feeling fresh, tailored, and a little fun. The island and countertops also feature the same double bullnose edge, even on the waterfall island, which was a beautiful way to bring softness and detail to such a strong architectural moment.”

“We also wanted the appliances to feel seamless and integrated, in a very European way. The fridge and freezer are fully paneled, and the wall oven sits directly below the seamless induction cooktop. We chose this approach instead of a traditional range, so nothing felt too bulky or overpowering in the space.”

“The dining area complements the living space beautifully, with a generous-sized oval white oak dining table from RH and fully upholstered dining chairs, also from RH. Throughout the home, custom art pieces sourced from around the world, along with custom crown moulding and wall paneling, help tie everything together and give the home a sense of depth, history, and permanence.”

“Overall, what we love most is the balance between beauty and function. In a smaller space, design has to work incredibly hard. Every finish, every piece of furniture, every piece of millwork needs to serve a purpose. When a space is this thoughtfully designed, it rarely feels small. Instead, it feels intentional, calm, and beautifully considered.”

“The bedroom is best described as if crème fraîche were a bedroom. It is soft, creamy, and cloud-like. The walls are wrapped in a natural weave linen wallpaper that adds texture and warmth without overwhelming the room. The bed was custom-made by Muskoka Living to fit the space perfectly. Instead of keeping a standard walk-in closet, we removed the doors to open up the room and designed millwork that allows for both maximum storage and a beautiful display of personal items.”

“The primary ensuite is a true showstopper. The stone is really the main character here, carried across the floor, shower walls, vanity countertops, and halfway up the walls. That continuous application allows the material to shine and creates a very classic Parisian sense of luxury.”

“The shower enclosure was designed as a feature in its own right, with custom reeded glass doors framed in brass. This detail ties beautifully into the rest of the space, echoing the warmth of the fixtures while adding another layer of texture and subtle visual interest without interrupting the overall softness of the design.”

“Some of our favourite elements throughout the home are, of course, the stone, the custom chevron floors, the moulding and wall panelling, the integrated appliances, the custom millwork, and the small details like the marble inlay doorknobs from Emtek. Those are the pieces that make the home feel layered and complete.”

“Tucked just off the entry is the powder room, which we wanted to feel light, creamy, and anything but forgotten. In a smaller space, every detail matters. The custom white oak vanity features a Crema marble countertop with a double bullnose edge, giving it a softness and sculptural quality that feels really special. As well as reeded door fronts, we wanted to introduce texture in a way that felt refined rather than overpowering, and this detail struck that balance perfectly.”

“Right when you enter, you are met with custom stained white oak flooring laid in a chevron pattern, which immediately sets the tone for the home. We paired that with a custom millwork piece and a travertine console from RH, creating an entry moment that feels refined, warm, and incredibly intentional.”
