The Spanish console is from Formations, while the In Common With sconces add a feminine touch.

“We wanted to create a ‘coat closet’ that was refined and elevated, so we incorporated the millwork details onto the doors to make them less of a focal point and more cohesive with the foyer.” For a cottage-like touch, the designers incorporated the limestone checkerboard floor tiles from Material Bespoke. 

“We wanted to ground the room with the deep eggplant sofa and custom dark tiled cocktail table. We sourced the tile top from Berbere in LA and had a custom steel base made for it.”

The console (behind the sofa) is custom from Petersen Antiques. They sourced rare antique sconces from G.C.M.E / Paola Buffa to hang over the photography prints from local Denver photographer Dru Smith. The accent stools are from their Smith and Drake Collection.

“The kitchen, study, and dining were three compartmentalized rooms that we shifted and reshaped to get us to a more open and cohesive floor plan for the kitchen and dining room.”

“We wanted to do something different other than your basic white kitchen but still keep a timeless palette. Our favorite features of the kitchen include the black La CornuFé range and the Carrara marble accents carried through the kitchen.” 

The pendants over the island were made in Italy and sourced through Obsolete in LA.

“The custom apron front marble sink might just be our favorite feature. We continued the marble (because you can never get enough) up the splash and framed around the window. We created a custom beaded edge detail on the marble to speak to the beaded millwork pieces around the home. We have to give a huge shout out to our fabrication team, YK Stone Center. They are always pushing boundaries with us.”

“We wanted to make this room moody, feminine, yet very antiquated. The room was blanketed in a deep rich plum-brown grasscloth, which creates a warm cocoon-feeling space. We continued these rich tones into the window treatments by Sandra Jordan and the dark brown sisal rug.

“The very first purchase of this room was the antique daybed from Sweden that we sourced from Galerie Half in LA. The client had an English tapestry from her previous home which was the perfect backdrop for the chaise.”

The springboard for this room was an antique Japanese panel from Naga Antiques.

“We continued our thread of modern and vintage through the room with an antique rug, modern Verellen armchair, vintage rattan stool from our Smith and Drake Collection, and custom oak nightstands made by our custom furniture maker in Denver.”

“We wanted this bathroom to feel elegant and hotel-like, and incorporate what we all love about a good hotel bathroom: great vanity lighting. We sourced a custom LED mirror that covered the expanse of the vanity top, which we knew would put out ample light.”

The client’s only request for the bathroom was to have a place to sit at the vanity, so the designers incorporated it into the sink elevation. “We kept everything at counter height and sourced a counter height stool in a boucle fabric. Millwork paneling runs throughout the room and weaves itself around the mirror, to help take the edge off the modernity of the mirror.”

“Limestone octagonal flooring with dark limestone cabochons complement the Calacatta marble carried throughout the walls in the shower. The custom shower doors are an antique brass finish made from a local fabricator in Denver.”

“Our client is a single mom, so we made this a hers and hers closet. We drenched the room in Farrow & Ball’s No. 244 London Clay, and papered the walls and ceiling in Lee Jofa Boutique Floral. We wanted this space to feel very feminine but also keep some drama.”

Accents in the room include a vintage Italian mirror with a brass crown from 1st Dibs and a boucle tripod stool. To add another layer of texture and pattern, they used a plaid patterned wall to wall carpet from Stark.

“We love a good powder, even when it’s secondary, and feel they should always shine bright and feel special. This was to be a work-horse family powder room, so we added a 3/4 height painted beadboard in Benjamin Moore’s Aegean Olive and then papered above the wainscot in GP&J Baker ‘Poppy Spring,’ and we of course included the ceiling.”

Vintage sconces from Lucca Antiques are mounted on the side walls to add interest to the space and to allow more room for the vintage brass center mirror. A piece of Calacatta tops the floating vanity, with hardware from Etsy.

“For us, it is literally down to the tiniest of details!”

“While in construction, and looking at our rooflines and trusses, we decided to utilize the attic space above the garage to create an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). This was to be a guest suite with an attached common area for the kids. In the sitting room, we included a place for lounging and TV watching, a custom homework bar, a beverage bar, and cafe tables with a banquette for hanging out, dining or having a conversation. This is a true flex space for kids and adults alike.”

The bedroom boasts a king bed, desk and large closet, with a full bathroom located directly outside of the bedroom. “We used a rose-colored Zellige tile in the bathroom to make the space feminine and soft, running the tile as a wainscot throughout the room as well. This bathroom not only serves house guests, but acts as a pool bath and changing area as well for the pool just outside.”
