Designer Erin Sander’s studio is in the heart of the Design District in Dallas, Texas. “I knew we wanted to be in the Design District so that we could be in the mix of everything happening down here,” she says. “It has been so valuable to be near our vendors, craftsmen and other creatives.”

When she first found the space, it was a fairly blank slate. Erin and her team added new flooring, lighting, cabinetry, and window treatments. “It was important to us to layer in different found objects, vintage furniture and pottery to bring a collected feel to our space,” she explains. “We wanted our studio to feel like a reflection of us and be a place we’re proud to host our clients in.”

In the entry, a vintage McGuire settee is paired with an installation from local artist, Claire Crowe. The conference table has layout space for materials and samples, which Erin says is essential to their presentations.

“A typical day for us usually involves a design presentation around our conference table,” the designer explains. “It has been so nice to have layout space where clients can touch and feel the materials and get a clear visual for our designs. We also spend a lot of time collaborating with each other at our desks and in the materials library laying out all of our schemes and ideas.”
