When influencer Emily Fauver and her husband, Dylan, were looking to put down roots in their forever home, they set their sights on the Nashville area—and immediately called on Lori Paranjape to handle the interiors. “He had just retired from the military, and they had two small children with another on the way,” Lori tells us. “They asked for a livable, comfortable, casual home. They were so open to our ideas and suggestions about materials and color—they were truly excited to have a fully designed home.”

The family landed in Brentwood, an impeccably maintained community known for its family-friendly atmosphere. “Our scope included full-service interior design, including cabinetry, flooring, tile, stone, lighting, and furnishings,” Lori shares. “We were involved from the very beginning and worked closely with the Fauvers’ architect, realtor, and builder.”

The overall feeling of the home is decidedly cozy. “Is Cozy Chic a design style?” Lori laughs. “The goal was to create a beautiful home, but our real focus was on how they wanted to live—not how they wanted to look. We built a foundation of durable fabrics, comfortable seating, and family-friendly materials, then layered in lighting, art, and accessories to bring a sense of luxury.”

One standout design moment is the “wine wall” that separates the formal living room from the dining room. “The architect designed the wall to be structurally sound while being made entirely of glass,” Lori says. “The wine bottles become the art—it’s such a dramatic statement.”

The kitchen is another showstopper, featuring two islands, a plaster range hood, and a dramatic stone-clad sink wall that stretches all the way up the 22-foot ceiling. “It’s a chef’s dream, but it also functions beautifully for the family,” Lori notes. The flooring throughout the home is Texture Hardwood, with tile from Ann Sacks.

The family room was designed for real life—family movie nights, quiet morning coffee, and everything in between. “It’s relaxed, calm, and welcoming,” Lori says. “Upstairs, we designed the cutest sleepover room just off the playroom. Think cousins, friends, and girls’ weekends piled into four beds.” The furniture was sourced through Lori’s retail partner, Ro + Co Design.

According to Lori, the year-long design process was remarkably seamless. “The clients were incredibly trusting and allowed us to guide the design direction, so the entire team was able to work quickly and cohesively to bring the house together,” she says. “We planned the reveal for the evening so the lamps could be glowing, candles burning, and music playing. Then we met the family at the door with a glass of bubbly. Emily was so emotional. There were lots of tears on the front porch and a few more throughout the tour. It’s incredibly gratifying to deliver a fully completed project.”
