Sound the alarm: this year, Thanksgiving falls at the very end of November (the 28th!) giving us one less week to prep for Christmas. We’ve already dialed in our fall aesthetic with elegant tablescapes in autumnal hues, so we’ve opted for a head start on Christmas. After all, one of the things that makes the most wonderful time of the year so wonderful is the decor!
When it comes to Christmas trees, there are a lot of factors to consider. Though we admit that a real tree has a nostalgic allure, we’re turned off by the negative aspects — you’ve got to set up a watering schedule, keep your pets from nibbling on the branches, and deal with proper disposal! Plus, whether you’re chopping one down yourself of visiting a tree lot in the city, there’s no guarantee you’ll find one you love or that looks beautiful (and appropriate!) in your space.
After a few “Charlie Brown” Christmases, we decided that faux was the way to go. We quickly learned that there are a lot of options on the market, in all price ranges and style. So, we’ve done the hard work, eliminating the rubbish and finding the top three trees in each category: Most Glamorous, Most Realistic, and Best Overall. See our winners in the slideshow.
