After a busy holiday and a little seasonal shopping, we’re ready for a drink! We had no choice but to call in the experts from drink.well., one of Austin’s most popular watering holes. Their inventive bar team sent us a recipe for their Mayan Anjoulou- a flavorful drink with pear & black pepper preserves. While the drink.well. team makes their preserves in house, we suggest picking up a jar from New Braunfels & adding pepper to taste. Enjoy:

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Tequila Blanco
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Aperol
2 Barspoons of a Pear and Black Pepper Preserves (made in house)

DIRECTIONS:
Combine all cocktail ingredients in cocktail tin. Shake. Serve up or on the rocks in a rocks glass. No garnish. Optional to serve with another spoonful of the preserves.

Cheers!
