Brides-to-be, you don’t want to miss this gorgeous styled shoot! One of the exciting parts of wedding planning is getting your best friends involved. A dream team of vendors created a brunch that will set the scene for you to pop the SECOND question: Will you be my bridesmaid? With luxurious layers, bold blooms, and plenty of sparkle… we can’t get enough of this picture-perfect party. In fact, we were so inspired that we had to chat with Heather of Posh Parties to get all the info on the decadent details:
Tell us about the shoot! What is the occasion?
The styled shoot was created for a fun way to show brides how to ask their bridesmaids to be in their wedding party.
What was the inspiration for the design?
I wanted to create a setting that was familiar and not too over the top, so a brunch setting seemed fitting. It was a little glam with the sequin table runners and menu card holders and the calligraphy “will you be my bridesmaid” on the blue agate gave a hip, trendy flair to the table. I wanted something different that hasn’t been over saturated in the wedding market so the agate and the laser cut paper names were perfect.
It’s so sophisticated! How did it all come together?
We used an open and airy setting and the farm table with wooden chairs kept the feel more down to earth. One of my favorite elements was the floral XO as a backdrop to the dessert table!
Our readers are definitely going to want to recreate this at home. What is your top advice for making a luxe, layered event like this one?
I love to add fun conversation pieces to my table top — whether it’s the laser cut names or adding a make a wish card on top of the plate, having that piece is always a perfect ice breaker. Take your own dishes and mix them with rental dishes to mix up what you have. Mixing and matching also makes your tabletop more special and doing a table runner instead of a full length linen makes a less forma, more fun feel. You can even do those out of paper and have guests write messages to the host on it!
