If you don’t have plans already for the rest of the week and you are in the Bay Area, you should be purchasing your ticket to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, stat. Not only does it benefit a great cause (providing scholarships to hundreds of kids at the SF University High School) but it’s a whole lot of design candy wrapped up into one house. Each room has been meticulously crafted by a different designer. So, to give you a taste, here’s a look at the “Master Suite” by Tineke Triggs of Artistic Designs for Living.
With the loss of David Bowie this year, it’s nice to be reminded of the creative greatness he gave us for so many decades. This space by Tineke is a celebration of Bowie, and a look into his relationship with Iman. Both light and airy as well as moody and edgy, the master suite represents the calm transformation that Iman brought to David Bowie’s life. Iman’s sophistication is seen through the creams and golds, balancing out the artistic dark blue elements representing Bowie’s creativity. We especially love the abstract painting whose lines evoke a sense of frenetic energy mixed with the soothing curved shape of the sofa and accents. The room feels imaginative, fresh with an interesting mix of materials and styles.
We think that this master suite is definitely worth a visit. Stay tuned tomorrow for another taste of this year’s SF Decorator Showcase!
