Antwerp, Belgium’s second-largest city often goes overlooked as a travel destination. The country itself can sometimes be considered a stop-over spot on the way to another European country. But lovers of Belgian design, especially those that are avid fans of Vincent Van Duysen and Axel Vervoordt, know that there’s plenty of inspiration to be found there, especially in its northern, Flemish-located city Antwerp.

In the ’90s, Antwerp was placed on the map for being one of Europe’s up-and-coming fashion capitals – after all, Dries Van Noten hails from this city – and has evolved into a place filled with beautifully designed hidden gems. From restaurants to hotels (we just featured Antwerp’s latest addition, August), and boutiques – design lovers will be endlessly inspired by this city’s offerings.
