With COVID-19 (also known as the Coronavirus) expanding globally, it has hit certain countries the hardest. Certainly, China, the most affected country has had to go through drastic measures to ensure that it doesn’t spread exponentially. However, the world’s second most affected country may come as a surprise – Italy. Over the past few weeks, all of Northern Italy has been on a government-imposed lock-down affecting the overall economy and leaving small businesses to suffer greatly.

Even one of the design industry’s biggest events, Salone del Mobile, held in Milan, has been postponed to June 16-21st. With the country at a stand-still, all sectors of the Italian economy are taking a huge hit. It’s important to support design brands globally, but today, we’d like to focus on products that are designed and made in Italy. It might be impossible to take a trip there over the next few months, but who said that we can’t bring a little of this Southern Mediterranean country home with us.
