Happy Friday, friends! We’ve come to the end of another week in 2020… and in good news, we’re almost halfway done with the year. (July 1, we see you!) We hope you’re all hanging in there and staying healthy, both mentally and physically. We also hope our website has been a welcome distraction if/when you need it. As usual, we’ve got our favorite finds of the week. Read on for ways to relax, some fun “vacation” ideas, and a great way to make your bathroom feel more like a spa:
— Sweet Flower, a SoCal dispensary, has just launched “need-based” kits. All you need to do is ask yourself, “How do you want to feel?” They’ve created four kits: Sleep, Relief (for pain management), Calm, and Fun (if you need a little boost). Each kit is a great deal and takes the guesswork out of buying cannabis. They also added a Give Back Kit, with 100% of proceeds going towards two non-profit organizations that continue to support the fight against racial injustice within the US. See all the kits here. You can visit their shops in L.A. or order right to your front door, all in a safe and sanitary manner.
— Sick of your own cooking? (Same.) Spice things up, literally, with this zesty Grilled Cilantro Lime Chicken by Just Destiny. We’ll be making extra for salads and sandwiches during the week!
— Now that we’re spending more time outside, we need to rethink our skincare routines!! Habit, a new-to-us brand, just launched a next level SPF. N°41 SPF Mist has active drugs to protect from skin-aging UV rays. Plus, you can opt into SMS reminders so you never forget when it’s time to reapply. Genius!
— If you’re a parent, read this article by Temi Adamolekun: Why Stories With Black Protagonists Are Key to a Child’s Anti-Racist Education. Temi explains how anti-racism work begins at home, and why it’s important to start that work early.
— All this extra time at home has us reevaluating the essentials we use each day. Anyone else feel like it’s time to update your towels? RiLEY Home has made it easy and affordable with their new bundles. Their towels are super soft, ultra absorbent, and come in a variety of pretty colors to pick from.
— Even if you’re stuck at home, you can escape to Balboa Bay Resort with this vacation kit. It’s a curated box featuring items from the Bayfront Boutique, Spa and Blend Cafe, like a fluffy robe, slippers, room spray, a face mask kit, a candle, and more. Vacation is officially a state of mind!
— Have you heard of StruXure? The innovative company is known for its modern-day pergolas and outdoor design innovation. They just launched their latest accessory line, the TraX system, which allows for the attachment of more accessories (like lighting and motorized screens) to the brand’s popular pergolas. Learn more here!
— Share the love! GiftSuite just debuted “Life 2020” gift boxes. The custom gifting service has options like “Return to Work,” and “Work from Home” boxes, so you can send someone thoughtfully curated, well-designed products to help them cope with (or celebrate!) the new normal. It’s a great solution since shopping looks a little different these days!
