This week seemed to fly by, though we must admit- we’re glad it did! As many of you know, we have big plans this weekend! More on that later… first, let’s talk fashion!! Everyone is buzzing about the Isabel Marant x H&M collaboration, set to launch next November. We’re so curious to see how the French designer takes on the challenge, and if the infamous wedge sneaker will be part of the lineup. Tell us- will you be partaking in the madness, or are you over fashion collaborations all together?
Speaking of fashion, one of our favorite bloggers (Beth of B. Jones Style) has gifted us with another installment of What Would Carrie Wear. For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, you’re totally missing out. Each week, Miss Jones puts together a new outfit entirely inspired by Carrie Bradshaw. She so effortlessly channels the high end looks that SJP made famous- yet keeps it appropriate for daily wear at the same time. This week’s outfit has to be one of our favorites!
If you have an Instagram account or have stepped into a Trader Joe’s recently, you’ve no doubt noticed that peony season is in full swing. Caitlin of Sacramento Street partnered up with Natalie Bowen Designs to discuss the gorgeous flower. We never knew there were so many different types!! We think our favorite is the “coral charm”… which do you love most??
We’re so excited to share that our beautiful cover shoot (produced by Be Inspired PR and conceptualized by GATHER Events) was featured on both Green Wedding Shoes as well as Inspired by This! We know we might be biased, but we can’t stop ogling the tropical blooms, elaborate gowns, mouthwatering food, and surreal location of the shoot. All of it turned out so perfect!
While we’re still talking about the issue, you may have noticed we included a recipe for a Strawberry Galette (which, by the way, is to die for). If strawberries aren’t your thing, Sprouted Kitchen shared a recipe for a Cherry Almond Galette that sounds incredible. We can’t wait to try it!
Well, we’re officially off for the weekend! Team Rue is heading to Napa for the weekend to celebrate the wedding of our Founder and Editor in Chief, Crystal Gentilello. We are SO excited for her and are wishing the new couple a lifetime of supreme happiness. Congratulations, Crystal!
