Erin Kleinberg has an impressive resume: she cofounded The Coveteur before going on to launch two new ventures off her own: Métier Creative (a creative advertising and branding agency) and SIDIA (a lifestyle brand with effortless wardrobe staples).

The self-proclaimed workaholic turned her Toronto home into a Palm Springs-inspired oasis, with art deco bungalow vibes, clean architectural lines, and desert-chic decor. It also has a large, tranquil bathroom that allows her to prioritize self-care at the end of a busy workday. We recently had Erin complete our #5MinutesWith questionnaire, to chat about success, lessons learned, and what she hopes to accomplish next:

MY LIGHTBULB MOMENT:
In high school when I learned that I could pursue a career around my passion for trends, fashion, styling.

I CAN’T START MY DAY UNTIL:
I take an early morning walk, hang out with my kids Parker & Ford, and do the “mini-est” shower/skincare routine of all time (inclusive of my Amazon ice roller).

SUCCESS IS:
Defined by the beholder. Success is being content daily. Success is family. Friends. Success is working well in teams. Success is being able to change someone’s life for the better. Success is continual learning. Success to me having a big ass kitchen a la Nancy Meyer’s movies and cooking beautiful meals for loved ones!

YOU’LL NEVER SEE ME WITHOUT:
A massive Yeti with chamomile tea, eye drops, hand serum and my everyday heirloom jewelry I’ve collected over the years that carry personal and familial stories through generations.

DREAM COLLABORATION:
SIDIA x Colette Mon Amour.

THE ONLY CITY BETTER THAN TORONTO:
Palm Springs or Deia, Mallorca

WHEN I FEEL UNINSPIRED
Between 3-5 pm. Simply nothing great can happen in this window for me. I am the most morning-est morning person that ever lived!

Also, when I’ve had too much IG time. I get confused by seeing all the shiny objects, better to stay off and stick to my own personal vision at times.

ADVICE I WISH I HAD 5 YEARS AGO:
It’s rad you are working your ass off, BUT, if you don’t stop to decide where you are going and where you’d like to be, it’s meaningless as there is no roadmap, no guide, no structure. Decide what ‘there’ means to you! And it’s ok if it shifts, that’s the fun part.

IN 5 YEARS, FIND ME:
As a 40 year old woman! Mom of a 10 year old! I will be running SIDIA which will have blossomed into a full on lifestyle brand with multiple categories, the most disruptive collabs, and continuing to change women’s lives by offering them the beauty of simplicity, ease, and support.

ABOVE ALL ELSE:
Fake it till you make it sometimes. Know what you are doing and why you are doing it – your USP, the void in the market, and then eat, sleep, breathe, live your project, cause if you aren’t going to pimp it out, who will? Know that it takes a village. The day you plant the seed is not the day you enjoy the fruit. Embrace the failures and take the opportunity in every crisis. Celebrate the wins! Listen to your teammates and work together to change the world. Think Big, but start small. In due time, you’ll get there!

I used to live by the mantra of wanting overnight successes, and there was a time where this came true for me to an extent, but now I’m caught up in the process of slow growth, laying the foundational groundwork for the success to come, putting in the time, and cherishing the value of letting things marinate.
