How does he do it all? Read on to find out:
MY LIGHTBULB MOMENT:
I had an uncle that gave me this advice: Do something well enough that you’d do it for free, and then do it well enough that people pay you. That’s when I decided to become a designer, and the rest is history so far!
I CAN’T START MY DAY UNTIL:
I shower. I don’t drink coffee, and I’m a pretty early riser, but a shower is my wake-up call.
Happiness – If you love what you do, and love your clients and team, everyday can be great. I think happiness is a great goal, and a great measure of success.
YOU’LL NEVER SEE ME WITHOUT:
My phone, my red polka dot stan smiths, pilor stylo pens for sketching, and likely a tote, filled with everything from the day’s meetings.
MY DREAM COLLABORATION:
So many! But we’d love to get into the lifestyle world and do a whole line of furniture, lighting, rugs, etc. for the masses. We love bringing good design to all people.
THE ONLY PLACE BETTER THAN NEW YORK:
ADVICE I WISH I HAD 5 YEARS AGO:
Don’t be afraid of being your best self-promoter. Self promotion isn’t ego, it’s business building.
IN 5 YEARS FIND ME:
Splitting my time between NYC and California – we’re actively expanding our business in the west as well.
ABOVE ALL ELSE:
Have fun – when work is a pleasure, it’s a great way to spend your days. And the type of business we are in requires a lot of time and attention. Have fun and enjoy what you’re doing – it’s so much more a pleasure to be kind than it is to be a diva.
