Furniture brand Industry West and its sister company, Favor, are the brainchildren of husband and wife duo Anne and Jordan England. Started in 2011, both represent a whimsical and practical side to home decor: beyond just stylish, every piece is meant to be used. And what better way to show that than to bring it into the context of a real-life home. “Our pieces are aesthetically pleasing and certainly made to look nice in context, but they’re also practical and meant to be part of your life,” Anne said.
This impressive house in Ojai, California is the perfect backdrop for Industry West’s furniture pieces and Favor’s bright accessories. The structure itself couldn’t be more tied in with its natural surroundings; extremely angular, made up of caged boulders, the home blends in with the landscape and offers spectacular vistas. With such an earthy foundation, Industry West and Favor’s bold and colorful pieces stand out. “I do feel that we’re moving away from the all-white home with the fiddle leaf fig tree in the corner,” Anne shared. “Bold hues and maximalist vibes are here to stay. The Mediterranean climate of Ojai and surrounding mountains lent themselves beautifully to the colors we chose to go with.”
