We often forget that most of our time is spent at our offices and workspaces. When it comes to design, the majority of our focus is spent on creating a welcoming, fun and interesting home that reflects our personality. However, when it comes to our desk, office and conference room, our choices couldn’t be more bland.
We believe that there’s a way to keep the functionality of your work space while also injecting a lot of design and personality. Not only will it make it more appealing to be there at 8 or 9 am but it can also help you feel inspired to come up with great ideas. We are big advocates of how the right design can positively impact your way of being. So first things first, switch out the fluorescent lighting for incandescent light bulbs and table lamps. De-clutter as much as possible, especially with those items on your desk. And find attractive ways to store your documents and items (our go-to trick for creating a designed effect is to purchase white shelving and use black filing systems). This is certainly a good start, but we have a lot more to share, so take a look at our slide show for a few more tips to get a well decorated work space.
