When you go to design school, professors will often quip, “over the course of your career as a designer, it’s expected of you to bring something innovative and fresh. We already have so many chairs, who needs another one.” At the core of this comment is quite a bit of truth – from interior designers, product designers, fashion designers to architects and even monarchs (don’t forget the Louis chair named after Louis XIV), so many have brought their iterations into the world.
