If there is one thing that fashion designers have to get right it’s color. We’ve been a long time fan of Francisco Costa, the Creative Director for Calvin Klein, not just because of his sophisticated revival of the brand but also for his talent interior design. The man just doesn’t quit. Debonaire, sophisticated, modern – there are many facets to Francisco’s home, but one thing we can’t seem to get out of heads is the grasscloth wallpaper in mink.
A warm brown tone that is just slightly less saturated than chocolate, our color of the month is the ultimate sophisticated tone for fall. As is the case with Francisco Costa’s bedroom, it works wonders with jewel tones (think mink coat with opulent jewelry). It’s also a color that looks gorgeous in a velvet or mohair, so the next time you are purchasing a sofa look no further than mink. It’s a neutral that will always be in style and can by paired with just about anything, not to mention it’s just a bit more daring than beige.
