If we learned anything from Justina Blakeney’s vibrant new studio, it’s that the gal knows how to think outside of the box. The colorful office is the very definition of creative design. (She even painted her West Elm pendant emerald green!) So, it comes as no surprise that one of our favorite decor tricks to date was spotted in the space.
If faced with a blank wall and a small shelf, most of us would hang it up, add some books and maybe an air plant or two, and call it a day. However, Justina used the opportunity for a little “art installation” of sorts. She painted a circle directly on the wall, and then painted a wooden shelf with the same coral hue. She added two ceramic animal sculptures and voila! It’s unique, eye-catching, and memorable. (Not to mention, beyond cute.) Tell us – would you ever say goodbye to traditional wall decor, or are you daring enough to give something like this a try??
