Mexico City has been topping travel lists lately, with its impressive list of museums and historical sites for the amateur archeologist and enticing foodies who are excited to try two of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Both solid reasons to add the city to your Must Visit List, but for those of us focused on great design, Mexico City is absolutely not to be missed. Despite the city’s reputation as sprawling (true!) it’s also surprisingly walk-able with many beautiful neighborhoods with distinct attitudes and architectural styles.
I recently got the chance to visit myself and can’t resist sharing some of the favorite design and fashion spots I got to peruse. Do yourself a favor and stay at Hotel Condesa DF, which puts you in the heart of Condesa and right next to other hot neighborhoods, Roma and Hípodomo, where several of these shops are located. And leave some room in your suitcase for treasures to bring home!
