Urban environments can be quite isolating and unfriendly — you come into contact with thousands of people but there’s almost this unspoken agreement of mutual ignoration of one another. But we’re seeing a new trend in cities. Coffee shops, restaurants and stores are trying to build communities. One such restaurant that is leading this movement, is Dig Inn. You may have heard of their Manhattan locations, but now, with the help of the Brooklyn design firm ASH NYC, they’ve opened up their first Boston location.

At Dig Inn, it’s not just about healthy, delicious and seasonal food, it’s also about making a friend and feeling part of something. That’s why ASH NYC gave this new Boston iteration a clean, contemporary feel with a happy twist. The peach custom-made furniture brings in a dose of optimism to this industrial space, and the potted plants bring in a little bit of nature to the concrete floors and metal accents.

Boston’s Dig Inn is the largest location to date, with both indoor and outdoor communal seating. So whether you feel like enjoying the sun or staying cool inside, you can meet local potential friends and share your love of food.

Check out Dig Inn Boston at 557 Boylston Street, in Copley Square!
