The dog days of summer are here. The popular phrase originated from Greek astrologists and lasts from late July to early August — the period technically ended on Thursday the 11th. But, we’re pretty sure the concept has taken on a modern meaning: it’s so freaking hot that no one, not even dogs, can deal. During the dog days of summer, things feel restless, maybe a little boring, and just hot enough that wearing a cotton nightgown all day seems reasonable and not at all insane.
