Wall weavings have been making a comeback. We’re seeing them all over Pinterest and in the homes we’ve featured. One of our favorite weavers is Bay Area local Meghan Shimek. Meghan has been weaving for two and a half years and much of her work is inspired by nature, resulting in pieces like bay and clouds. She uses both traditional tapestry and Navajo weaving techniques to create works of art in a style that is all her own. She also teaches weaving classes and sell looms on her site for the aspiring weaver. Today, she shares more about her craft and passion in the slideshow.
