Radiate from the Inside Out. That’s nutritionist Jennie Miremadi’s credo. After years of struggling with food, first, as she puts it, with an obsession about being thin and after that to reestablish a healthy relationship with food while dealing with food sensitivities. Eventually she decided to enroll in graduate school to study nutrition and integrative health, studying at night while continuing to practice law. Now as a trained EFT practitioner, Jennie works full-time to help others with the food issues she’d overcome. She also shares her love of healthy eating through delicious recipes on her website and writes about health, food, and wellness on her blog. We’re inspired by Jennie’s ability to overcome and her excitement about helping others do the same.
MY LIGHTBULB MOMENT:
When I realized that I had the power to create my own happiness.
I CAN’T START MY DAY UNTIL:
I do my morning gratitude practice where I think about what I’m grateful for. It is my favorite way to start and end my day.
Being able to live life doing what you love, being proud of what you have accomplished, surrounded by people who love and support you.
YOU’LL NEVER SEE ME WITHOUT:
A rubber band, so I can throw my hair up, sunglasses, so I can enjoy the sunshine, and Spotify, so I can listen to music anytime and anywhere.
MY DREAM COLLABORATION:
A yoga, nutrition and mindfulness collab with Alo Yoga, one of my favorite yoga brands.
THE ONLY PLACE BETTER THAN LA:
The only place better than (where I live): Paris, and any beach in Thailand.
WHEN I FEEL UNISPIRED:
I head to the beach or go on a hike. Being in nature always inspires me.
ADVICE I WISH I HAD 5 YEARS AGO:
Instead of worrying, embrace the present moment and trust that everything will work out the way it is supposed to.
IN 5 YEARS, FIND ME:
Still inspiring people to make healthier, more mindful decisions about food
ABOVE ALL ELSE:
Be your own best friend.
