Smart technology is swiftly becoming a bigger component in home design. While some of us may embrace the quiet, analogue moments we experience in our homes, it doesn’t hurt to have a few gadgets or two that make our lives easier. Sunset took on the challenge of how to use these new smart pieces for the home in a way that feels seamless and stylish. To do so, they partnered with designers Jessica McCarthy and Emily Gaydon of Decorist to transform a 900 sq ft cottage in Cornerstone Sonoma.
Sunset and the designers at Decorist had a roster of partners to help achieve this beautiful space. Both the mix of vintage and contemporary furniture was selected from the online retailer the Mine. Thumbtack, an online service that connects you with local home improvement pros took over the renovations of the home, from painting to installing the kitchen tile. And finally, to sync all of the technology together, Mosaic proved to be the best partner. The thing we found most intriguing, though, is that throughout the home it’s hard to tell what is “smart” and what isn’t. Take the tour to find out!
