On Friday, we showed you a gorgeous wedding book- The New-Fashioned Wedding by Paige Appel & Kelly Harris. The duo behind creative event & styling production team Bash, Please is talented and inspiring, offering clients planning services that are unlike anything else available. As showcased in their book- the weddings and events they create are unique, artful, and sentimental… yet appear effortlessly perfect. With a talent like this- you just know their workspace has to be gorgeous. That’s why we thought we’d take a little trip down memory lane…

Originally published in our March/April 2011 issue, we took you inside the Southern California studio where Bash, Please ideas are born. Flooded with natural light and filled with vintage finds, their workspace exudes creative spirit. Their signature style is reflected in every inch- resulting in an interesting, collected, and absolutely beautiful space. Want to bring a little bit of Bash, Please magic to your life? Paige & Kelly offered up their timeless tips:

1. Think about texture when decorating the table. Driftwood, succulents, and rocks look fresh right now. If you’re using flowers, rather than plunk down one large vase in the center of the table, group together small bud vases of varying heights and styles.

2. Make any room more festive by creating a paper or fabric chain and hanging it with twine or ribbon. It’s a whimsical and affordable look that you can pull off in minutes.

3. A specialty cocktail makes the party feel complete. Paige & Kelly love to use herbal simple syrups. Try combining rosemary-infused simple syrup, gin, and grapefruit juice.

4. Little surprises for your guests go a long way. Putting menus at each place setting is thoughtful; splurging on straws with colorful stripes is fun. Give each guest something to take home, like a tiny potted succulent.
